Cowboys LT Tyron Smith suffers high ankle sprain in loss

The Dallas Cowboys not only lost to the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night, but they also sustained an injury to a key player.

Left tackle Tyron Smith suffered an ankle injury late in the defeat after Dak Prescott was sacked and pushed into the lineman’s leg.

Smith was desribed by NFL Media’s Jane Slater as being upset after the game.

We know why — owner Jerry Jones says Smith has a high ankle sprain.

Smith, 28, was the No. 9 pick in the 2011 draft and has made six straight Pro Bowls. He has played in 13 regular season games a season each of the last three years.
