Michel Sproles has never been shy about expressing her feelings through social media. Sproles, who is the wife of Philadelphia Eagles running back Darren Sproles, was not happy with fans who were criticizing the Eagles in the wake of their surprising loss to the Washington Redskins.
With a loss to the lowly Redskins and a Dallas Cowboys’ win, the Eagles have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. Here’s how Michel responded to people who were hating on the birds.
While Michel only reposted the quote and did not come up with it herself, many were offended by its implication. She later took to Instagram to deny that the quote was aimed at single mothers.
“First of all let me start off by saying that I have much love & respect for all single mother’s, my grandmother was a single mom and so is my sister, so for the individuals that insist on making me a trending topic off some foolish ‘Repost’ shame on you,” Sproles wrote. “There are so many other important things going on in the world that deserve our attention. Taking the time to twist up the words of a joke I Reposted is just way to much waisted energy.
“Do you honestly think I give a damn about who wins or loses in a game… This is a means of entertainment and is not a matter of life and death! As long as my husband is healthy I truly can care less. People give me way to much credit… But hey I appreciate the love tho…#GetALife #GodBless #MerryChristmas.”
This all sounds awfully familiar to that time Michel blasted the Saints organization for the way they decided to part ways with Darren. If the backlash that follows her posts bothers her so much, she should probably just refrain from stirring up controversy.
