David DeCastro says Vontaze Burfict spit on him
Vontaze Burfict may have cost the Bengals a playoff win over the Steelers when he went head-hunting on Antonio Brown late in the fourth quarter with the game on the line. Was that the only classless act from a notoriously dirty player?
Not according to Pittsburgh offensive lineman David DeCastro.
In an interview with Jim Colony on 93.7 The Fan in Pittsburgh Monday morning, DeCastro accused Burfict of spitting on him during Saturday’s game.

If Burfict did spit on DeCastro, it probably happened at some point during a scuffle that broke out between the two players.
Do we have any reason to doubt it? Burfict has a reputation for being one of the dirtiest players in the NFL. He is already facing a suspension for his hit on Brown, and he could be disciplined further when the league reviews video of the knee Burfict threw to Ben Roethlisberger’s right shoulder.
Burfict also went went low on Roethlisberger with a hit (watch here) a few weeks back and Big Ben said he thought it was intentional. In the past, the Bengals linebacker has been fined for grabbing and twisting the ankles of opponents after he brought them to the ground.
Cincy would be wise to cut ties with Burfict this offseason.
