DeAndre Hopkins thinks he can still be a big help to an NFL team, and there is one particular franchise he seems to have in mind.
The free agent wide receiver sounded extremely interested in playing for the Minnesota Vikings and teaming up with Kyler Murray, who he played with in Arizona.
“Kyler … that’s my bro, man. Kyler is like family,” Hopkins told TMZ Sports. “Whatever I can do for someone like that — if Kyler needed me, if the Vikings need me, they know I’ll be there.”
Hopkins and Murray were together on the Cardinals from 2020 to 2022. Injuries limited Hopkins for the last two years of the partnership, but he racked up 115 catches for 1,407 yards with six touchdowns in 2020.
Hopkins’ issue might be finding a role. He has made it abundantly clear that he felt underutilized with the Baltimore Ravens last season, and Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison will see the bulk of the targets in their offense. It might not be the best fit for him.
