Deebo Samuel trolls CJ Gardner-Johnson over regrettable taunt
Detroit Lions cornerback CJ Gardner-Johnson learned a valuable lesson on Sunday about premature celebrations, and Deebo Samuel was thrilled to see it.
The Lions outclassed the San Francisco 49ers in the first half of the NFC Championship Game at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif. After Detroit built a two-touchdown lead late in the second quarter, Gardner-Johnson appeared to wave goodbye to Niners fans on the sideline.
It was much, much too early for that.
The Lions increased their lead to 24-7 before the half, but momentum completely shifted when they went for it on fourth down on their first drive of the second half and were stopped. The 49ers then mounted a massive comeback to win 34-31 and advance to the Super Bowl.
After the game, Samuel trolled Gardner-Johnson over the wave.
Somebody go check on lil bruh😂😂 https://t.co/8UgIk3iFkG

“Somebody go check on lil bruh,” Samuel wrote on X with two laughing emojis.
Gardner-Johnson threw a blindside block on Samuel after the Lions intercepted a Brock Purdy pass in the first half. The two have a long history with one another, which is why Samuel was not going to pass up the opportunity to get the last laugh.
