San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has faced some criticism as of late for his choice in clothing. After the Niners beat the Carolina Panthers, a writer tweeted that Kaepernick should turn his hat around and act like a professional. That writer took a lot of heat from us and many others, but Deion Sanders made a similar comment on Sunday.
As several Twitter users noted, Sanders began his discussion of Kaepernick’s postgame press conference on NFL Network by commenting on his wardrobe.
“First of all, what does he have on?” Sanders asked.

What a second, is this the Deion Sanders commenting on what someone is wearing? The same “Prime Time” that was one of the most flamboyant dressers in sports during his NFL career? Remember when he used to dress like this?
@DeionSanders agree with you completely @Kaepernick7 and his outfit, but weren't you that dude that did this? pic.twitter.com/zfJIlVYa3i

And how about this?

Kaepernick was the only one of four quarterbacks who competed on Sunday that was not wearing a suit during his postgame press conference, but that doesn’t make him less of a professional. He held himself accountable for the loss and said he cost his team a game by turning the ball over three times. Does it really matter if he’s wearing a backwards hat while saying it?
