Report: DeShone Kizer ‘in play’ for Packers at No. 33
Former Notre Dame quarterback DeShone Kizer may not have to wait long to hear his name called on day two of the NFL Draft.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Green Bay Packers are receiving trade interest in the No. 33 pick — the first one of the second round — but may stay put and take Kizer.
An interesting name in play at No. 33 for the #Packers: #NotreDame QB DeShone Kizer. GB is getting trade calls, but could stick and pick.

Reports like this one turned out to be right, but Kizer will apparently be eyed early in the second round. The Packers would be a particularly interesting destination, as they’re keen on succession planning, which is how they wound up with Aaron Rodgers in the first place. The current quarterback is 33 and showing few signs of slowing down, though.
