Report: Dolphins cautiously optimistic Ryan Tannehill could return for playoffs
The Miami Dolphins are holding out hope that they’ll be able to use quarterback Ryan Tannehill again before the offseason.
The Dolphins are cautiously optimistic that, should they make the playoffs, they’ll be able to put Tannehill back under center.
There's definitely a cautious sense of internal optimism — or at least no resignation to contrary — Tannehill could be back for playoffs.

Of course, Miami would have to make the playoffs in the first place. They’re 8-5 as we speak, currently tied for the sixth and final AFC playoff spot, and they’ll be relying on Matt Moore to get them into the playoffs to begin with.
It is, however, a good sign to know that Tannehill’s season may not necessarily be over after a more favorable diagnosis than originally expected.
