Drew Lock has a new team, but it’s a familiar one.

Lock has signed with the Seattle Seahawks, reuniting him with the team he played for in 2022 and 2023. Lock reportedly agreed to a 1-year deal with the NFC West team.

Lock, 28, spent last season with the New York Giants. He appeared in 8 games and made 5 starts total. Lock passed for 1,071 yards, 6 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, while the Giants went 1-4 in his starts.

Lock was originally a second-round pick by the Denver Broncos in 2019. He started five games as a rookie, and the team went 4-1 in his starts. He started 13 games the following season and passed for 2,933 yards, 16 touchdowns and a league-worst 15 interceptions. Denver went 4-9 in his starts that year.

The Broncos traded Lock to the Seahawks in early 2022 as part of the big Russell Wilson trade. Though Wilson did not work out well for Denver, the Seahawks got tight end Noah Fant and several draft picks out of the deal.

Lock has solidified himself as a backup quarterback in the NFL. He has completed 59.6 percent of his passes for 6,354 yards, 34 touchdowns and 28 interceptions over 36 career games. He has also rushed for 432 yards and 7 touchdowns.
