NFL decides on discipline for Eagles head of security
The NFL has decided on discipline for Philadelphia Eagles head of security Dom DiSandro stemming from his sideline clash with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw in last Sunday’s game.
DiSandro will be barred from the sideline for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. DiSandro will still be allowed to travel with the team to Dallas and perform all his other regular duties. The NFL is still investigating the incident and could impose further discipline depending on their findings.
In a statement, the Eagles confirmed the punishment and said the team was having an “ongoing conversation with the NFL.”
Eagles statement on DiSandro: “This is an ongoing conversation with the NFL, and we are going to respect the restriction that is currently in place. Although Dom will not be on the sideline this Sunday, he will continue to fulfill his role with the team in all other capacities."

Both DiSandro and Greenlaw were ejected from last Sunday’s game after getting involved in a sideline confrontation during the Eagles’ loss. While the 49ers were initially angry that a staff member could get involved with one of their players, coach Kyle Shanahan later called for leniency and suggested the issue was behind the team.
The Eagles can now put this entire controversy behind them ahead of Sunday’s big game in Dallas as they look to hold off the Cowboys in the NFC East.
