Eagles’ Zach Ertz jabs ESPN analysts for picking against them
The underdog billing really struck a chord with the Philadelphia Eagles prior to their NFC divisional playoff game against the Atlanta Falcons on Saturday.
The Eagles were underdogs entering their game with Atlanta despite being the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Tight end Zach Ertz was motivated by the team’s underdog status and even trolled ESPN’s analysts for picking against his team.
"I was watching ESPN today and all 5 analyists, experts they call themselves, picked the #Falcons to win. I'm glad they're not in charge of my finances by any means, picking stocks here and there. If they're going to call us underdogs again next week I'm fine with it" – Zach Ertz

The culmination of the underdog talk was Lane Johnson wearing a dog mask after the Eagles’ 15-10 win.
Lane Johnson said that Chris Long and himself bought dog masks on Amazon to wear because of the underdogs they were being called as a #1 seed. They also put up a certain network staff picks up in rooms around the facility

The underdog storyline may have worked to motivate the Eagles for this week’s game, but the conference championship game next weekend could be a different story. Will they still feel as fueled up by the slights after winning their divisional game?
