Eddy Pineiro played through pinched nerve in knee
Eddy Pineiro kicked for the Chicago Bears on Monday night despite a knee injury.
Pineiro was questionable for his team’s tilt with the Washington Redskins due to his knee. He went 1-for-2 on field goals (made from 38 and missed from 44) and was 3-for-3 on extra points.
We knew Pineiro hurt his knee in the weight room, but it wasn’t until after the Bears’ 31-15 win that we learned the nature of the extent of the injury. The kicker said he had a pinched nerve in his knee and was struggling to keep it locked, per Bears reporter Rich Campbell.
Bears K Eddy Piñeiro says he pinched a nerve in his knee and was determined to play through pain. He struggled to keep his leg locked properly, he said.

The Bears will hope Eddy Money is better before long. They will expect him to make 44-yarders in the future, although his kick to beat the Broncos in Week 2 sure bought him a lot of goodwill.
