Keanu Neal had a brutal start to the season for his Atlanta Falcons.
Neal left the Thursday night opener against the Philadelphia Eagles twice due to knee injuries. Neal went to the sidelines and was examined in the medical tent before being cleared to return following his first injury. About an hour later, Neal went down for the second time in the game.
Neal was initially termed questionable to return to the game following the second knee injury, but that quickly changed and the strong safety was later termed out for the game.

With both Neal and Desmond Trufant out of the game, the Eagles finally got their offense going and scored their first touchdown of the game, taking a 10-6 lead.
Neal, a first-round pick in 2016, had 116 tackles and an interception last season. He was among the best safeties in coverage.
