CBS has unveiled a new score bug for the 2025 NFL season, and fans seem to like it a lot better than that of the network’s biggest competitor.
The reviews for CBS’ new score bug were largely positive. Most people feel that the new graphic is clean and easy to read. Some fans were bothered by the score bug taking up more of the viewing area than the old one, which was a bit more horizontal.
Many viewers compared the new CBS score bug to the one that FOX debuted during Super Bowl LIX earlier this year. That graphic was wildly unpopular, but FOX decided to only make a minor tweak to it for the 2025 season. The small change was met with just as much criticism.
Fans on Sunday declared CBS the clear winner in the new score bug department.

The main gripe with the FOX score bug is that there is no solid background, so the numbers, words and logos can be difficult to read depending on which natural background they are laid over during the game. CBS does not have that issue with their new graphic.
Fans typically are not receptive to changes when it comes to on-screen graphics, but CBS seems to have done a better job than FOX.
