Shannon Sharpe has stepped away from ESPN in the wake of a lawsuit that was filed against him, and many people are upset with the Hall of Fame tight end over his preference in women.
A woman filed a lawsuit in Nevada on Sunday in which she accuses Sharpe of assaulting her on multiple different occasions at the end of 2024 and beginning of 2025. The plaintiff says she was in an abusive relationship with Sharpe that began after the two met at a Los Angeles gym in 2023. The woman, who was later identified by Sharpe’s legal team as Gabriella Zuniga, is seeking more than $50 million in damages.
Sharpe has maintained his innocence and said everything that happened between him and Zuniga was consensual. Still, he announced on Thursday that he is temporarily stepping aside from his ESPN duties.
A lot of people believe Sharpe got himself into this mess with Zuniga because of his affinity for white women — or “snow bunnies,” as many on social media are calling them.
One old clip that has gone viral shows comedian Katt Williams warning Sharpe about white women and saying Williams is “scared” of them.

Sharpe is facing two active lawsuits from women, and both happen to be white. One of his attorneys issued a statement on Friday blasting both accusers.
Sharpe’s legal team has accused Zuniga of a shakedown and concocting a scheme after Sharpe refused to have a baby with her. One of Sharpe’s former co-workers said he saw all of this coming with the 56-year-old.
