Houston, Dallas police have been going at it on Twitter and it’s hilarious
The Houston and Dallas Police Departments are more ready for Sunday’s game between the Cowboys and Texans than anyone else — maybe even the teams themselves. You know how we know this? Because the two departments have been engaging in a hilarious war of words and memes on Twitter since Tuesday.
The battle started when the Houston Police sent out a fairly innocent tweet asking the Dallas PD which quarterback Texans defensive end JJ Watt would be after this weekend.
Great win this past weekend by @HoustonTexans So which QB will @JJWatt be after this week? Do you know @DallasPD #GoTexans

In the words of Ron Burgundy, things really escalated quickly from there. Rather than explain everything that has happened over the past few days, we’ll just show you:

We have seen teams go at it on Twitter in the past (like this mini-feud between the Jaguars and Broncos), but most of the time the jokes aren’t that funny. Some of the memes the Dallas PD and Houston PD exchanged were hilarious and took creative thought. For that — and for their service, of course — we applaud both departments.
