Denver Broncos, Jacksonville Jaguars exchange barbs on Twitter
The Denver Broncos are starting to remind people of the 2007 New England Patriots. After hanging 51 points on the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Peyton Manning and company are now averaging an incredible 46 points per game. The Patriots were “only” averaging 36 points per game after five games in ’07.
Things get much easier for the Broncos in Week 6. Their next opponent, the Jacksonville Jaguars, is still seeking its first win of the season. On Monday morning, the Broncos’ official Twitter account took a moment to remind followers of how different things have gone for the two teams this season.
The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season.

The person in charge of the Jags’ Twitter account did not appreciate the stat:
Stay classy, Denver. RT @DenverBroncos: The #Broncos' 51 points in yesterday's win are as many points as the Jaguars have scored all season.

No shots, just stats. RT @jaguars: Stay classy, Denver. MT @DenverBroncos: #Broncos' 51 pts Sun. are as many as JAX has scored all season.

For what it’s worth, the Broncos weren’t only preying on their Week 6 opponent. They also shared a rather shocking stat that compared this year’s squad to last year’s 2-14 Kansas City Chiefs team.
The #Broncos' 230 points this year are 19 more than the Chiefs scored in all of 2012.

We get it, Denver — you’re awesome. Andy Reid has led that same Chiefs team to a 5-0 start in 2013, so I’m sure they’re not offended. As LB reminded us recently in this tremendous flashback on Manning’s career, Peyton has a history of lighting up the regular season and falling short in the playoffs. It’s probably a bit early for the team to be bragging this much.
On a more positive note, at least we can say the Jags-Broncos Twitter fight had nothing to do with the “Sharknado” movie. Yes, that actually has happened before.
