Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee’s season is over before it could begin.
According to reports, Lee will be placed on injured reserve on Monday and will not play this season after sustaining a serious knee injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Ligament damage is not good news, and is a pretty clear indication of a season-ender. The only good news for Lee is that he signed a new contract during the offseason and will be well-compensated. The Jaguars lose a key piece of their offense, one who contributed 702 receiving yards and three touchdowns last season.
You can see the somewhat controversial hit that ended Lee’s season and decide whether his injury was a consequence of the new helmet rule, as teammate Jalen Ramsey does.
