Jaguars release statement addressing Leonard Fournette’s arrest
Leonard Fournette was arrested on Thursday for a seemingly avoidable incident, and the Jacksonville Jaguars cannot be happy with their star running back.
According to multiple reports, Fournette was arrested in Neptune Beach, Fla., because of a speeding ticket he never paid. The 24-year-old was reportedly cited for driving 12 mph over the posted speed limit back in November, and he never paid the citation.

It’s hard to believe anyone would get arrested for choosing not to pay a speeding ticket, but it is particularly surprising for an NFL player who has already made millions during his career. While Fournette had some issues with the Jags’ coaches and front office late in the season that he appeared to have cleared up, the off-field incident is not going to score him any points.
