The San Diego Chargers’ injury luck continues to hover around absolute zero.
According to a report by Rand Getlin of NFL Network on Wednesday, Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett fears he may have a torn ligament in his knee and will undergo tests to determine the nature of the injury.

Verrett, 25, was the Chargers’ first-round draft pick in 2014 and has emerged as the leader of the team’s secondary, earning a Pro Bowl selection in 2015.
Other than the number of crippling injuries the Chargers have suffered to their offense, they already lost one key contributor on the defensive side of the ball for the season as well. For a unit that has given up the fifth-most passing yards in the league so far this year (per ESPN), the loss of their top corner for a significant period would be virtually impossible to overcome.
