Jim Bob Cooter reportedly set to interview for Browns OC job

Cleveland Browns

Jim Bob Cooter may be out of a job currently, but he may be in the mix for another offensive coordinator position.

Cooter is set to interview for the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator position, according to NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.

Cooter and the Lions parted ways after a disappointing season in Detroit. The offense fell off and failed to produce, though an injury to Kerryon Johnson and trade of Golden Tate did not help matters.

During his four years as the Lions’ offensive coordinator, Cooter’s rushing offense tended to be one of the least productive in the league, while the passing offense was generally among the better ones.

The Browns hired Freddie Kitchens as their head coach this week and are looking for his new support staff.
