JJ Watt has not had a starring role in an NFL game since retiring after the 2022 season, but he has still found a way to make appearances in the homes of football fans.
Watt stars in a Christmas-themed commercial for Dick’s Sporting Goods that aired during the “Thursday Night Football” game on Amazon between the Ravens and Bengals. The commercial shows Watt and his family shopping at a Dick’s Sporting Goods before JJ gets left behind, “Home Alone” style. JJ then pulls off some Kevin McCallister-like hijinks in the store before his family returns to get him.
In addition to the “Home Alone” theme, savvy movie fans will also notice some scenes straight out of other holiday moveis, like “Love Actually” and “Christmas Vacation.”
