John Abraham leaves Cardinals after concussion, dealing with memory loss
Veteran pass rusher John Abraham has left the Arizona Cardinals indefinitely after suffering a concussion on Monday night.
Abraham was concussed while hitting his head on Chargers lineman DJ Fluker during his team’s win.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Abraham is suffering from memory loss and has been for over a year. Schefter says Abraham may have left the team for good and could be considering retirement.
Abraham, 36, is in his 15th season in the league and second with the Cardinals. He has recorded eight double-digit sack seasons during his playing career and two seasons with 9.5 sacks.
