A little bit of a fury was caused on Monday when a report said Johnny Manziel had gone missing. Apparently that was slightly overstated.
Manziel’s rep Denise Michaels told Cleveland.com that she has spoken with her client “several times” in the past 24 hours. She also says other people have spoken with him, too.
The New York Post’s Page Six says Manziel was supposed to host a party in the Hamptons for close friends and family. He was supposed to fly there via helicopter on Saturday, but he apparently didn’t answer his phone for 15 minutes and the chopper left without him. Page Six described Manziel as missing.
Though Manziel is not missing, it seems that he remains just as flaky as ever.
The former first-round draft pick was kicked out of a nightclub in Las Vegas a few weekends ago. He also has been involved in a dispute with the owner of a luxury rental car company over the destruction of a car driven by one of Manziel’s friends.
The 23-year-old quarterback was released by the Cleveland Browns in March and has been dropped by numerous agents and sponsors in the past several months.
