Josh Doctson reportedly signs with Vikings

Wide receiver Josh Doctson landed on his feet quickly after his release from the Washington Redskins.

The former first-round pick reportedly agreed to terms with the Minnesota Vikings on Monday in a move that will reunite him with former teammate Kirk Cousins.

Doctson was the 22nd overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. He has failed to live up to expectations since then. His 2018 season was his best in terms of receptions and yardage, with 44 catches for 532 yards, while he caught six touchdowns in 2017. Ultimately, those weren’t the sort of numbers Washington was looking for from a former first-round pick. Still only 26, the Vikings will try to salvage something from him.
