Josh Norman is expected to miss at least a few weeks with a rib injury.
Norman got hurt in the second quarter of “Monday Night Football” between Washington and Kansas City. He was making a tackle downfield and seemed to get hit by one of his teammates.
Norman went to the sideline and was down for a bit in pain. He later went to the locker room and was termed questionable to return to the game, which was later downgraded to “out.”
ESPN’s Lisa Salters reported during the third quarter that Redskins head coach Jay Gruden told her they expect Norman to miss at least a few weeks with his injury.
The 29-year-old cornerback was also dealing with a shoulder injury this season.
Washington has a bye next week before returning in Week 6 against San Francisco. The only positive is the bye will come while the high-priced CB is hurt.
