Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert suffered a finger injury during Sunday’s game against the Denver Broncos.
Herbert appeared to hurt his throwing hand as he was hit by Broncos defensive end Zach Allen while delivering a pass in the second quarter. Herbert immediately began shaking his hand and looking at his finger.

The Chargers announced that Herbert had suffered a finger injury and was questionable to return. He was replaced by backup Easton Stick.
Herbert also suffered a finger injury last season, but that one was to his left hand. It was also a lot more gruesome.
Herbert was 9/17 for 96 yards and an interception prior to suffering the injury.
Herbert signed a 5-year, $262.5 million contract extension during the offseason. The Chargers have had a disappointing season and entered Sunday’s game at 5-7 and outside of the playoff picture.
