Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook reportedly scored 11 on Wonderlic

Leonard Fournette and Dalvin Cook are among the top running backs in the 2017 NFL Draft class and likely to be taken highly next week. That’s despite reportedly not performing spectacularly on the Wonderlic test — an examine administered at the NFL Combine intended to measure intelligence.

The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s Bob McGinn published his annual draft position rankings for the running backs and fullbacks. In his write-ups on a few players, he shared their Wonderlic scores.

According to information obtained by McGinn, Fournette and Cook scored 11 on the test; Joe Mixon scored 12; Christian McCaffrey 21; and Alvin Kamara scored 24.

McGinn didn’t publish the numbers to denigrate any of the athletes, but merely as small pieces of information as part of a complete draft profile on each athlete. Some players, such as this one, even blow off the test because they don’t think it matters, leading to low scores.

And to keep everything in perspective concerning the Wonderlic, here’s a great quote about it.
