Man Accidentally Shot Himself in Leg at Gillette Stadium Parking Lot

We can’t say for sure whether the victim of this accident was a Patriots or Giants fan, but if he was a New England fan I’m a little surprised this incident occurred before the game. As a Patriots fan, I felt like shooting myself in the leg after Sunday’s game so I could understand where this guy was coming from. Then again, it was reportedly an accident.

According to The Star-Ledger, a 50-year-old man was attempting to empty the chamber of his handgun in a Gillette Stadium parking lot on Sunday when he accidentally shot himself in the leg.  Naturally, guns are not allowed inside the stadium.  There are, however, no rules preventing a licensed handgun from being taken into the parking lot.

Since no one else was injured during the incident and the injury is not considered to be life threatening, I feel it is safe to note that Plaxico Burress no longer plays for the Giants.  If the man was attempting to do his best Burress impression to get a laugh out of people, he failed miserably.  If you want a joke to land, you have to do some research.
