Mark Sanchez was practically unrecognizable on Monday night as he led the Philadelphia Eagles to a blowout win over the Carolina Panthers. The Sanchize threw for 332 yards, two touchdowns and — get this — no interceptions in his first start as an Eagle. After the game, he celebrated the way any good Philadelphian would.
He ate cheesesteaks.
According to ABC 6, Sanchez went to Geno’s and Pat’s — the two most famous cheesesteak spots in Philly — on Monday night and stuffed his face. He also took selfies with a bunch of happy Eagles fans.
Never has there been a player who was more happy to get away from the New York Jets. Granted, the Eagles trounced a horrendous team and Sanchez could come crashing down to earth within the next couple of weeks. But filling in for Nick Foles in Chip Kelly’s offense has to be a lot more fun than trying to win on a horrible team and getting lambasted by the local media.
And, hey, we know how much Sanchez loves to eat. He’s making himself right at home.
