Marshawn Lynch has agreed to a deal with the Oakland Raiders, and he is planning to announce that deal to his hometown in a big way.
Lynch, who grew up in Oakland, is reportedly going to sign autographs at a “block party” on Thursday, when he will officially announce he is a Raider.

Although he insisted he was done with football after he retired following the 2015 season, things seemingly changed for Lynch when he had a chance to play for the Raiders. The 31-year-old running back was born and raised in Oakland and played college ball at Cal, so his desire to wear the black and silver is understandable.
It will be interesting to see if Lynch can be as effective as he was earlier in his career now that he has taken a full season off. On paper, he seems like a great replacement for former Raiders running back Latavius Murray, who signed with the Minnesota Vikings this offseason.
We know one star Raiders player who is excited to have Lynch on board, and that feeling is likely shared among the entire team. Perhaps Raiders fans — many of whom are angry over the impending Las Vegas move — will have an easier time supporting the team with Beast Mode running the ball.
