Mike Tomlin seemingly confirms Antonio Brown was not excused from meetings
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin confirmed on Tuesday that Antonio Brown was not at work the day before, but it does not sound like the star wide receiver’s absence was excused.
Tomlin was asked by reporters if he was aware Brown would not be in attendance for team meetings and film review, and the coach would not say either way. He only said he is looking forward to meeting with Brown to discuss some things.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin says WR Antonio Brown was not in he building Monday and he's "looking forward to visiting with him today and discussing that with him, and some other things."

Tomlin says he is looking forward to talking to Antonio Brown today. Acknowledges team frustration, does not want to talk about if absence was excused or not excused.

If Brown had informed Tomlin ahead of time, it’s a virtual certainty that Tomlin would have shared that with the media in an attempt to put out the flames. Instead, Tomlin only said Brown has not informed the team he wants to be traded. That doesn’t mean there isn’t some tension there.
Between Brown’s absence from work on Monday and the way he fired back at a former Steelers staffer on Twitter, it seems like a safe assumption that the Pro Bowler is frustrated with how things are going in 2018.
