The Tennessee Titans could be without Ryan Tannehill for their game against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, and it sounds like they are planning to use more than one player to replace the veteran if he cannot play.

Titans head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters on Tuesday that the Titans plan to see where Tannehill is when their week of practice concludes. Should Tannehill sit, Vrabel said he anticipates that both Malik Willis and rookie Will Levis will play on Sunday.

“I would imagine if Ryan can’t play, I would anticipate both those quarterbacks playing in the football game,” Vrabel said. “But Ryan is out of his roller or walker or whatever he had and we’ll see where he is at the end of the week.”

Tannehill was carted to the locker room after he suffered an ankle injury during Tennessee’s Week 6 loss to the Baltimore Ravens in London. The Titans then had a bye in Week 7, so Tannehill had some extra time to rest and recover.

Willis took over for Tannehill and went 4/5 for 74 yards against Baltimore. He also rushed for 17 yards.

The Titans traded up to select Levis in the second round of the NFL Draft this year. The former Kentucky star did not have a great camp, however, and sat out Tennessee’s last two preseason games with a quad injury. Levis has not been active for any game this season and has instead served as the team’s emergency third quarterback.
