Miko Grimes threatens writer over report she cost husband his job
Miko Grimes threatened a writer for reporting that she cost her husband, Brent Grimes, his job with the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins released Grimes on Wednesday, saving themselves $6.5 million against the salary cap. They replaced him by acquiring fellow cornerback Byron Maxwell in a trade with the Eagles.
Days earlier, The Miami Herald’s Armando Salguero reported that the Dolphins wanted to trade Grimes rather than release him, but they had trouble finding takers because of Miko.
Dolphins have been trying to trade Grimes. Fact his wife continues to act a fool no doubt hurts trade value:https://t.co/Qku5H3jFWS

Miko responded by saying the report was a “lie.”
its a LIE RT @mccauley318: I don't like reports of how Media trying to use @iHeartMiko as a scapegoat for Them not keeping Grimes. But cool.

Those tweets were actually mild for Miko’s standards. She previously threatened Salguero over Twitter with “bullets” in response to his report. She later said the “bullets” were just strongly-worded tweets, but then she cautioned him to “keep his head on a swivel.”
Miko may say none of that was intended literally, but after her arrest for wild behavior last season, it would be hard to trust her.
Miko Grimes is unfiltered on Twitter and has the potential to break up locker rooms with her comments. She went off on Miami quarterback Ryan Tannehill last season, causing a distraction and problem within the team’s locker room. Her husband simply is not a good enough player to justify putting up with Miko, so Salguero’s report makes complete sense. And Miko is proving how unstable she is with her responses to Salguero’s report.
