Packers president: Aaron Rodgers matter has ‘divided’ fans

Aaron Rodgers

Green Bay Packers president Mark Murphy shared thoughts about the reality of the Aaron Rodgers situation.

Murphy answered fan questions for his monthly column published on the Packers’ website. One fan told Murphy not to let the “bast-rds” drag him down.

Murphy responded with this:

“The situation we face with Aaron Rodgers has divided our fan base. The emails and letters that I’ve received reflect this fact. As I wrote here last month, we remain committed to resolving things with Aaron and want him to be our quarterback in 2021 and beyond. We are working to resolve the situation and realize that the less both sides say publicly, the better,” Murphy wrote.

The part about not saying as much publicly probably helps. It does no good for two sides to continue having leaks and rumors going back-and-forth.

Some fans probably feel that the team should stand strong and not give in to Rodgers. Others probably feel that the quarterback just won MVP and that Green Bay should bring him back at any cost. Rodgers reportedly wants one big change in order to consider a return to the Packers.
