Pat Mahomes Sr. still cannot get out of his own way.

Mahomes Sr. was arrested on Tuesday in Smith County, Texas for a violation of his probation, TMZ Sports reports. According to the local district attorney, Mahomes Sr. was allegedly drinking alcohol while wearing an alcohol monitor pursuant to his 2024 DWI arrest.

The 55-year-old Mahomes Sr., per the probation violation report, had a high alcohol reading on his SCRAM alcohol ankle monitor on Jan. 1. The report also states that Mahomes Sr. provided subsequent urine samples on Jan. 5 and Jan. 9, both of which came back negative for alcohol.

You can ready TMZ Sports’ full report on the situation here.

Mahomes Sr. is a former MLB pitcher who played from 1992-2003. He is also notably the father of Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

In recent years, Mahomes Sr. has had countless run-ins with the law. Mahomes Sr’s 2024 DWI was his third such arrest and even resulted in him serving brief jail time. He also was arrested back in 2016 for public intoxication while his son was still in college at Texas Tech. Now Mahomes Sr. is back in jail again, this time for allegedly drinking in violation of the terms of his probation.
