Colts punter Pat McAfee sent a superb tweet after his team beat the Broncos in the AFC playoffs on Sunday.
The Colts entered the game as heavy underdogs — sportsbooks had Denver favored by 9.5 points — and most were expecting the Broncos to win easily. Every analyst on ESPN’s “Countdown” show picked the Broncos to win.
After his Colts pulled off the 24-13 win, McAfee sent out this great tweet:
Oh ok.. Wrong horse fellas #Colts pic.twitter.com/MoCUjIjC35

As much as I’d love to have fun with this, I had the Broncos winning easily too and said during the week that the Colts were the least likely to pull off an upset this round. Boy was I wrong.
Between this and what happened with the Chargers and Michael Irvin a few seasons ago, we’ve learned that players do take offense when analysts pick against them. And this certainly was a much better postgame tweet from McAfee than the last one he sent.
