For the second week in a row, Saints coaches Rob Ryan and Sean Payton were seen fighting on the sidelines, giving credence to the report that there is a strong dislike between the two.
CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora reports that there is growing “disconnect” and “contempt” between the two coaches. A source even described it to La Canfora that the coaches “hate” each other.
This is Ryan’s second season as Saints defensive coordinator. After helping the team finish fourth in the league with only 19 points allowed per game last year, Ryan’s defense is 25th and allowing 26 points per game this season.
The Saints are expected to make a change at defensive coordinator after the season. It seems like Ryan will welcome that.
