Ron Rivera channels Bill Belichick with message to Commanders
The Washington Commanders have lost three straight games after a 2-0 start, and coach Ron Rivera is trying to right the ship by leaning on a famous Bill Belichick line.
According to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post, Rivera posted a sign reading “Do Your Job” on the door of the team’s locker room Wednesday. Rivera said the move came in response to watching tape and determining that “we’re not doing the things that we need to do.”

“Do your job” is, of course, one of Belichick’s most famous mantras. A lot of former Patriots coaches have tried to take it with them, largely without success. It has not exactly been paying off for Belichick himself lately, either.
Rivera is probably feeling some serious pressure to turn things around. The team is under new ownership, and they do not seem pleased with what they have been seeing lately. If that does not change, his seat may get hot quickly.
