The Cardinals were one of the teams that showed interest in Kirk Cousins, but the biggest prize on the free agent market is reportedly closing in on a deal with the Minnesota Vikings. With Carson Palmer having retired, the Cardinals are in need of a starter and must feel Bradford is the best option available.
Bradford appeared in just two games with Minnesota last season, partly because he was dealing with a knee injury but mostly because Case Keenum grabbed ahold of the starting job and didn’t look back. While some recent comments Mike Zimmer made about Bradford’s knee don’t sound promising, the Cardinals were apparently willing to take their chances.
