
Sam Darnold’s return to the New York Jets did not last long.
Darnold lasted just one first quarter drive before limping to the locker room with an apparent foot injury, potentially a recurrence of the one that has kept him out for a month.
So, Sam Darnold is clearly hurt. Slowly walked to the lockerroom after first drive.

So, Sam Darnold re-injured his foot on a broken play scramble on the third play from scrimmage.
That sums up the 2018 #Jets season.

The Jets listed Darnold as questionable to return. He was replaced by Josh McCown.

Darnold’s much-heralded return lasted less than a quarter. The Jets were very cautious with their rookie quarterback, but apparently it still wasn’t cautious enough. They have no real incentive to get him back out there if there’s any question about his physical ability to do so.
