Sean McVay’s girlfriend slams retirement rumors
There was a lot of talk leading up to the Super Bowl about Sean McVay potentially taking a break from coaching, but his longtime girlfriend has seemingly put an end to those rumors.
After the Los Angeles Rams held their Super Bowl parade on Wednesday, McVay’s fiancee Veronika Khomyn posted a clip on her Instagram story of her and her soon-to-be husband relaxing. She wrote “finally get my man back.” Khomyn then shared a photo of McVay and captioned it, “And no. He is NOT retiring!!!”

That settles that.
The McVay retirement talk didn’t come out of thin air. The 36-year-old made some interesting comments leading up to the Super Bowl about how he eventually wants to start a family and focus on that. There were also reports that McVay could consider a career in broadcasting if the Rams won the Super Bowl.
Some believe McVay might be angling for a new contract, though he can probably name his price at this point. Still, it seems reasonable to assume his camp has had some sort of hand in the retirement talk, despite Khomyn and others trying to downplay it.
We already assumed McVay would be back with the Rams in 2022 after how he acted during the victory parade. His fiancee has now confirmed it.
