Sheldon Richardson to sign three-year deal with Browns
Sheldon Richardson took a risk by signing a one-year deal with the Minnesota Vikings last year, and the defensive tackle managed to make the most of the opportunity.
Richardson reportedly agreed to a three-year deal with the Cleveland Browns on Tuesday.
Former Vikings’ DT Sheldon Richardson intends to sign a three-year deal with the Cleveland Browns when free agency opens Wednesday, a source tells ESPN.
Cleveland’s opening-day front four now expected to be DE Myles Garrett, DT Larry Ogunjobi, Richardson and DE Emmanuel Ogbah.

Richardson is the second major addition the Browns have made to their defensive front over the past week, as they also acquired star pass-rusher Olivier Vernon in a trade with the New York Giants. Cleveland entered the offseason with plenty of salary cap space, and general manager John Dorsey appears committed to using it to build a contender.
Richardson has had some issues with teammates in the past, but he’s still just 28 and remains an elite interior defensive lineman when healthy and motivated. He should create plenty of problems for opposing defenses while playing alongside Vernon and Myles Garrett.
