Terry Bradshaw has harsh comments on Deshaun Watson
Terry Bradshaw has clearly had enough of watching Deshaun Watson underperform on the field.
Watson’s Cleveland Browns were demolished Sunday by the Washington Commanders in a 34-13 affair at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Md.
During the FOX postgame show, Bradshaw made a suggestion about Watson that his co-panelists Howie Long and Michael Strahan found “a little harsh.”
Bradshaw: “Do you put Watson down now? He has not played well since he has been in Cleveland, simply has not played well.”
Long: “I don’t want to put him down. I’d want to sit him.”
Strahan: “Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. That was a little harsh.”

The joke is that Bradshaw meant that the Browns should bench Watson. He used some unfortunate phrasing that had to be corrected by his fellow analysts. But there is no doubt that Bradshaw is right about Watson not performing well.
Commanders rookie Jayden Daniels outplayed Watson in the contest. Watson went 15/28 for 125 with a touchdown, while Daniels went 14/25 for 235 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
It’s been a familiar story for Watson this season. He has yet to throw for over 200 yards in a single game and has just four touchdowns against three interceptions through Week 5. It’s no surprise that the Browns have started off their campaign with a 1-4 record.
The three-time Pro Bowler has looked like a shell of his past self. The off-field issues Watson continue to face surely haven’t helped either.
