Texans rookie Jaylin Noel did the Ray Lewis dance after scoring on Ravens

Jaylin Noel does the Ray Lewis dance

Houston Texans rookie wide receiver Jaylin Noel pulled a bold move during his team’s win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

Noel scored the first touchdown of his NFL career during the fourth quarter of Houton’s 44-10 Week 5 victory over the Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. The third-round pick out of Iowa State caught a 4-yard pass that put the Texans ahead by 30 points in what was an embarrassing home performance from the Ravens.

After he scampered into the end zone untouched, Noel broke into a familiar celebration. He did the famous Ray Lewis “Squirrel Dance.”

Ravens players took exception to the celebration. Veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander came running over and tried to rip the ball out of Noel’s hands when the rookie retrieved it to keep as a souvenir.

Lewis is one of the greatest players in Ravens history, so many interpreted Noel’s dance as a sign of disrespect — especially coming from a rookie. The problem for Baltimore is that they have been so horrible defensively that they can’t seem to keep anyone out of the end zone. That is why so many fans called for one coach to be fired in Week 5.

If the Ravens want to stop opponents from celebrating on their field, they need to find a way to play some actual defense.
