Titans making change at quarterback for Week 7
The Tennessee Titans are making a quarterback change for Week 7.
Mason Rudolph will start at QB for the Titans in their road contest at the Buffalo Bills on Sunday. Will Levis, who is the team’s No. 1 quarterback, is expected to be inactive for the game due to a shoulder injury, Paul Kuharsky reports.
Levis hurt his shoulder in the Titans’ Week 4 game against the Miami Dolphins. Rudolph replaced him during that game and went 9/17 for 85 yards as the Titans won 31-12.
The Titans had Week 5 off due to a bye, and Levis returned to play in Week 6, though he was still limited by his shoulder.
Levis went 16/27 for 95 with 1 touchdown and 1 interception in a 20-17 defeat against the Colts. The second-year quarterback was limited in his ability to throw the ball downfield last week, and he was limited in practice on Wednesday and Friday this week. Ultimately, it’s not too surprising that the Titans will have Rudolph start.
Interestingly, if Rudolph starts and Levis is inactive, it looks like veteran Trevor Siemian will serve as the backup quarterback against the Bills.
Tennessee enters the game 1-4 on the season.
