Tom Brady applies for two Bucs-related trademarks
Tom Brady has opened up endless new merchandising opportunities now that he has left the New England Patriots to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the 42-year-old quarterback is looking to capitalize on as many as he can.
As Josh Gerben of Gerben Law Firm discovered, Brady has already filed for two new trademarks that utilize his name as a play on words with his new team. One trademark is for the phrase “Tompa Bay” and the other is for “Tampa Brady.”
Tom Brady's company (TEB Capital Management) has filed 2 new trademarks for:
1. TOMPA BAY
2. TAMPA BRADYThe filings, made on April 6th, indicate Brady intends to sell clothing, headwear and footwear using the trademarks.

Brady is an extremely successful businessman who always seems to be ahead of the trademark game, so this is not a surprise. We can only imagine how much more money he’ll be making in a new city with a new team.
