Tom Brady makes good on promise to send Joe Mixon a jersey
Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon felt like a 10-year-old fan from Boston after his team took on the New England Patriots last week, and Tom Brady clearly does not want to let his fans down.
Following the Patriots’ win over the Bengals, Mixon tweeted that he was in awe over shaking Brady’s hand and having a conversation with him. He said he wanted to ask Brady for a jersey but was too nervous, to which Brady replied that he would send him one.
Great game Joe, I’ll send a jersey your way! https://t.co/U2Et9XYgzK

We now know Brady is a man of his word. On Friday, Bengals reporter Ben Baby spotted Mixon walking through the locker room holding a Brady jersey.

The way Mixon reacted to shaking Brady’s hand is another reminder of not only how much the quarterback has accomplished but also how long he has been playing. Mixon is still just 23, and Brady will turn 43 this offseason. That means Mixon was just a kid growing up when Brady was winning his first round of Super Bowls, so you can understand why it feels surreal for players like Mixon to be sharing the field with the six-time champion.
We saw another example of the respect players have for Brady with what Lamar Jackson said to him on the field earlier this year, and it’s nice to see the Patriots legend reciprocate.
