Tua Tagovailoa has salty response to question about botched snap
Tua Tagovailoa seems to be growing tired of dealing with the media.
The Miami Dolphins made a costly mistake during the third quarter of their 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Miami had 2nd-and-10 from their own 13-yard line when Tagovailoa was unable to handle a shotgun snap from center Aaron Brewer. The ball bounced off of Tagovailoa’s hands and into the end zone, where the quarterback wisely batted it out of bounds to give up a safety rather than a defensive touchdown.

The blunder made it a one-score game, as the Dolphins were leading 20-10 at the time. Miami eventually lost by one, so you could say the safety was the difference.
When asked about the play on Wednesday, Tagovailoa had a very defiant response. He said he would “like to see a lot of other people go in the back there and try to catch that ball too.” Tagovailoa then said fielding the snap is not as easy as it might look to those who are “sitting down on your couch eating chips.”

Tagovailoa admitted that the play was not his nor Brewer’s best effort. It seemed like Brewer snapped the ball way too hard, which is why Tagovailoa was unable to handle it.
The overall tone from Tagovailoa was similar to what we saw when he had to answer questions about choosing not to retire after his latest concussion. It seems like he is frustrated with the media in general, which is understandable.
Miami was hoping to get back on track with Tagovailoa returning last week, but they fell to 2-5 with the loss. They will now travel to Buffalo to face the Bills on Sunday in what feels like a must-win game.
