Ty Montgomery angry over anonymous criticism from teammate
Green Bay Packers return man Ty Montgomery cost his team a shot at a victory on Sunday when he fumbled a crucial kick return, but he thinks some of the fallout is a bit over-the-top.
Montgomery had a chance to kneel in the end zone and get Aaron Rodgers the ball with 2:05 left down two points, but he tried to run it out and fumbled it away. Rodgers was furious on the sideline, and one teammate anonymously savaged Montgomery in the media after the fumble.
Montgomery was unhappy about that, and made that clear in speaking to the media, feeling it was an attack on his character.

Montgomery’s play was dumb, and you can’t blame Rodgers for being upset on the sideline. However, coach Mike McCarthy is clearly facing some locker room issues with the response to the play.
